What makes us special
We don’t just talk, we work hard. We are not afraid to admit mistakes or dead ends. Thanks to this, we are quite ahead in our field of work, and not only in Europe. We have been protecting and restoring the landscape for over 30 years. We provide care to valuable habitats such as meadows, steppes, wetlands, sand dunes, heaths and light forests, both with and without official protection status. By our work, we keep the landscape healthy and mitigate the loss of biodiversity both at home and abroad.
We create oases of biodiversity
We restore the landscape and create islands of natural diversity.
We graze animals, mow grass, clear brush, use light and heavy field equipment, and much more.
We protect pollinators and specialize in butterflies.
We integrate conservation with industry and business
We integrate mineral resource extraction, energy distribution, and the implementation of linear structures with active nature conservation. We assist corporate partners in meeting ESG standards. We involve corporate volunteers.
We work internationally
We actively address nature conservation not only in Europe, but also in tropical areas, going beyond regular cooperation within joint projects, events, and seminars. If necessary, we pack up our equipment and go to work directly on-site.
We educate and build communities
We educate both professionals and the general public, as well as schools, on the principles of nature conservation in the Czech Republic, abroad, and in tropical areas. We organize conservation camps and a variety of other events. We actively involve individual and corporate volunteers. We work closely with the media.
We cooperate with public administration
We take care of the land belonging to various owners, including cities and municipalities, regions as well as the state, providing expert advice and training to both national and local governments. To sum up, we provide the full range of services in the field of nature conservation, whether it involves professional monitoring or practical conservation measures in the field.
We have butterflies breeding stations
We operate two breeding stations for butterflies. We have the best butterfly breeder in the world and can create the exact environment that butterflies need. Thanks to this, we have managed to support or even reintroduce several species back into the wild.
We protect multiple species
As one of the few, we protect multiple groups of organisms: butterflies, plants, reptiles, amphibians, birds, bats, beetles, hymenopterans and other insects. We manage habitats in a way that suits the majority of rare, and of course also common species of these groups.
We run a wildlife rescue station
We operate a rescue station for injured wild animals in Jaroměř. Thanks to the popularity of some animals, we explain how important a healthy landscape is for everyone else and that to have a place to return these animals, it is necessary to take proper care of the landscape. We gain experience and learn what environment the animals need and how they behave.
We innovate with a super-biodiversity approach
In collaboration with scientists, we design new and often innovative practical approaches, which we then apply in the field, evaluate, and adjust as needed.
